i don’t really know where i got the idea for this one. i saw a tv commercial a long time ago where a girl pays for the cute guy’s dry cleaning behind her and hands her business card to them to pass along, so i think that’s what started it. but i wanted this to be a “hit and run” act of random kindness, more anonymous so it would just make someone’s day. i had actually planned on doing it during breakfast so it would start a stranger’s day off right, but today i happened to have sheryl along with me and i told her about it and she wanted in on the fun. so off to wendy’s we went.
we had to wait a little while for someone else to pull into the lot to make sure that there would be someone behind us, but eventually a huge silver SUV drove up and i cut in front quickly to make sure we got ahead of them. when we got to the window, my heart was beating so fast! it actually made me nervous, like i felt like we were doing something bad! lol! i half expected to cashier to tell me that there was a policy against paying for other people’s food or something (i don’t know what made me think that!) but it went through ok. here’s the video:
